Embracing Sexual Health: Your Well-Being Matters

At West Auckland Medical and Surgical Centre, we prioritise your sexual health as an essential component of your overall well-being.

Our team of open-minded doctors and nurses is dedicated to providing expert guidance, support, and information to ensure your sexual health journey is safe, informed, and confidential.

Comprehensive Sexual Health Services

Our sexual health services encompass a wide range of needs, from contraception and family planning to screening for sexually transmitted diseases. Our skilled professionals offer non-judgmental, evidence-based advice that is tailored to your individual needs and circumstances.

Your sexual health consultation is a space where you can access information on various aspects, including contraception, sexual identity, safe sex practices, and more.

Confidentiality and Privacy

We understand that discussing sexual health matters can be sensitive. Rest assured, your privacy is paramount to us. Your personal information is treated with the utmost confidentiality, allowing you to discuss your concerns openly and honestly without fear.

Identifying Symptoms and Seeking Care

Recognising the signs of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) is vital. Symptoms such as unusual discharge, pain during urination, sores, blisters, or itching require attention. Our team is equipped to provide assessments and offer appropriate care to address these concerns.

Routine Sexual Health Checkups

Regular sexual health checkups are crucial for maintaining well-being. Our standard checkup includes blood tests for HIV and syphilis, urine tests for gonorrhoea and chlamydia, and vaginal swabs for gonorrhoea, chlamydia, and trichomoniasis. These checkups offer proactive prevention and early detection of potential issues.

Empowering Through Vaccination

Protecting against cervical cancer is a priority. We offer a free cervical cancer vaccine to individuals aged 9–26, including non-residents under the age of 18. This vaccine guards against HPV, which can lead to cervical cancer. By vaccinating males as well, we contribute to preventing the spread of the virus and promoting overall sexual health.
